To further support your purchase of a 2013 NFPA edition SCBA, Avon Protection is pleased to offer an optional FREE Upgrade of the Deltair SCBA to meet the new NFPA 2018 standard.
To inquire about and/or opt into this seamless FREE Upgrade Program, you must complete and submit the form below. Once opted in, your new Deltair SCBAs will be upgraded, FREE OF CHARGE, to meet the 2018 edition of NFPA 1981 and 1982 when Upgrade Kits are available.

There are two FREE Upgrade Options available under this Program, depending on the Deltair configuration:
NFPA 2018 Upgrade - Software ONLY
The 2018 update calls for an adjustment to the timing and content recording with data logging. Most notably, the new standard requires the logging of cylinder pressure upon initial activation, at least every 30 seconds after activation, and at the time of HUD deactivation for a minimum of 36 hours before the data is overwritten. The Deltair SCBA platform enables software upgrades to be done quickly using the electrical side of the integrated EP connector.

NFPA 2018 Upgrade - Software and Universal EBSS
A key component of the 2018 update is a Universal Emergency Breathing Support System (UEBSS) that allows interoperability among SCBAs regardless of manufacturer.

- UEBSS conversion (to include hose with Rectus 95 manifold and pouch)
- 2018 edition approval labels
- Must visit www.avonprotectionfire.com/free2018, complete FREE Upgrade Program Opt-In Form, and submit to Avon Protection.
- To qualify for the 2018 Software ONLY upgrade, must purchase new Deltair SCBAs from an Avon Authorized Distributor.
- To qualify for the 2018 Software and UEBSS upgrade, must purchase new Deltair SCBAs to include Buddy Breather (Option B in the Deltair configurator) from an Avon Authorized Distributor.
- Purchase Order (PO) to Distributor should have a separate line item for FREE Upgrade Option to include appropriate part number, description, and quantity at a final charge of $0.00; PO should also reference promo code FREE18.
- FREE Upgrades offered under this Program are based upon the standard as it is defined on March 27, 2019. Upgrades based on any changes to the standard after March 27, 2019 cannot be guaranteed by Avon Protection and are expressly omitted from this Program.
- Eligible FREE Upgrade Option is based on Deltair configuration at time of original order and may not be changed after the fact under this Program.
- Upgrade Kits will be provided upon Avon Protection receiving the necessary approvals and as inventory allows.
- Upgrade Kits shall only be installed by an Avon Authorized Technician as Service Center schedules allow.
- Program period is March 27, 2019 through August 15, 2019.
- Avon Protection reserves the right to modify or cancel this Program at any time.
